Sailor Guardians Artworks (Welcoming Sailor Moon 20th Anniversary)

Finally it is done! I'm so glad that I can finish well for this series, since I have put target to finish them on July and have been working on them since January 2014 =). I enjoy painting every character of the Sailors, and I take this as a practice as well. I dedicate these pieces to all of the Sailor Moon's fan out there.

I make this Sailor Series Fan Art as my admiration of Legendary Sailor Moon & Naoko Takeuchi's briliant idea. They were my childhood favorite manga and one of my inspiration in art. Together with that is the upcoming New Anime of Sailor Moon that will be broadcasted this year, and also their 20th Anniversary.

These artworks can also be visited in Sailormoon fan art's Gallery. I thank you for the honor that this person displaying my artworks in her website. You can also visit and see the other artists' wonderful pieces =).

Newest artwork for Spring

It's up also in Trickster Gallery for purchase =)

The title of this piece is "I Could See You". It is inspired from the song by Yiruma (a pianist from Korean). Why I choose 'I could see you'? This piece is telling a love story between a Spring fairy and a son of man. One time, the man found her in the garden during Spring season. They starred at one another, and the relationship growns stronger as they get to know each other everyday during that Spring time. However, Spring fairy would appear only in Spring. So the idea is that the man would faithfully waiting for his love on Spring every year as they keep growing up. So what's happen after that? I think this will be a piece that I would like to develop more int he future.

Pretty Guardian Sailor Soldiers! - Learning Progress

Hi, I just wanna share what I have learnt so far with through this PGSM series. So the first image is the final look of each Sailor, and the second one was the final look before I re-paint them again. I feel there is a huge difference! But, I'm not trying to boasting, but what I can share is to that through this process I learn how to be patient and waiting for the next day to paint. It is really helpful to see the painting through different eyes. Somehow things that I don't see before started to pop up, and since I become able to see the mistakes, so I can fix it.

Queen Elsa - Frozen Fan Art

By choosing monochromatic color theme, I try to capture her mysterious yet ordinary and simple young lady (She is the opposite of Princess Anna that is painted in brighter and more color).  The turquoise color represents her ice-snow magical power, while the look in her face mirroring her gentle heart.

The printed piece with glitters.

Frozen Fan Art - Anna

I print this piece & decorate it with beads & glitters as shown in the image above.

Princess Anna has more character. Innocent, genuine, and playful. I choose bright and bold pink color to also represents her playful yet feminine personality.

Jasmine

Jasmine, the Arabian princess. I feel that she is one of the Disney Princess that has that exoticism compare to the other princesses. She might looks happy on the outside but she feels that loneliness inside until she met Ali that change her world up-side-down.

iPad Painting

Today is Sunday, and His faithfulness never cease to amaze me! =)
I bought a mini iPad couple of months ago. One of the reason was to keep myself drawing when I'm on the road. I tried couple of times to paint on iPad and it did not work at all. But then I give a try again patiently. This piece took me about several days in total of around 8 hrs mostly when I'm in the bus/ BART.  Here is my first one, and I appreciate it. I use ProCreate Apps.
